Funding trajectory
A compressed proof block for the pace, ambition, and market pull behind this role.
Rocketship pace
A fast sequence of rounds. From seed conviction to category-scale velocity.
This is not a steady-state operator seat. It is a front-row role inside a company compounding capital, market access, and deployment capacity at unusual speed.
A rapid follow-on round that validated both the platform thesis and the field-deployment operating model.
Capital to scale the platform and locally embedded teams across 30+ markets, with the company now compounding at true rocketship pace.
The company recently raised over $0.5B in a Series C.
Field CTO / Local CTO

Travel: Frequent customer-site work in Warsaw, with selective travel when a deployment or executive relationship requires it
Type: Full-time (employment contract or B2B)
Compensation: Top-of-market for exceptional candidates
Equity: Offered - you're PL co-founder
About the Role
We are hiring for a stealth, hyper-growth AI company building an enterprise agent platform used by large organizations to move from AI ambition to real production outcomes.
This company recently raised over $0.5B in a Series C.
The company is already operating across 30+ markets, scaling fast, and building with the assumption that enterprise AI becomes durable only when technology, deployment, and operating rigor compound together.
This is not a generic "AI strategy" role, a pure people-management position, or a classic enterprise architect seat.
As Field CTO / Local CTO, you will be the founding technical leader for the Polish market: hands-on enough to build the first POCs and integrations yourself, senior enough to win trust with enterprise customers, and operational enough to hire and scale the first local engineering team.
The thesis is simple:
- enterprise AI will not scale through demos alone
- the hard part is implementation
- production requires deep integrations, governance, iteration, and real operator judgment
Why This Is Unusual
This is not a slow enterprise transformation role.
The company recently raised over $0.5B in a Series C and is already operating across 30+ markets.
That pace matters because Poland is not being treated as a support market.
The local CTO will help build one of the company's market-facing technical organizations from the ground up: customer trust, early deployments, local engineering capacity, and technical credibility.
What You'll Do From Day One
- Build early POCs, demos, workflow integrations, and technical proofs personally
- Partner with the local GM on technical pre-sales, customer discovery, demos, and architecture discussions
- Own the technical path from customer need to implementation and go-live
- Hire the first local engineers and create the early engineering operating rhythm
- Stay close to code, systems, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, and delivery tradeoffs
- Turn ambiguous enterprise problems into shipped outcomes quickly
What You'll Own
- Act as a trusted technical and strategic partner to enterprise executives during high-stakes AI programs
- Translate ambiguous business opportunities into concrete deployment strategies, technical approaches, and operating plans
- Work across product, engineering, and delivery to shape how agents integrate into real enterprise workflows
- Challenge weak use cases early and focus teams on the highest-value paths to production
- Drive technical credibility in customer conversations without losing sight of business outcomes
- Help scope and de-risk complex deployments involving systems, data, workflows, governance, and local operational constraints
- Partner closely with deployment and engineering teams so architecture decisions survive real implementation
- Build and lead the early local technical team as the market grows
- Create confidence with senior buyers and operators that the system can be trusted in production
- Feed learnings from the field back into product, platform, and rollout playbooks
What Makes This Role Attractive
- Local co-founder-level ownership, not a narrow regional execution role
- A chance to build the first technical organization in Poland from scratch
- Direct access to customers, local market leadership, product, and global technical leadership
- Real enterprise AI work: POCs, integrations, deployments, go-lives, and operating models
- Top-of-market compensation and equity for exceptional candidates
What We're Looking For
- 7-10+ years of strong engineering experience, ideally backend, full-stack, infrastructure, or platform engineering
- Recent hands-on technical depth: you can still reason through code, architecture, APIs, data, integrations, and production constraints directly
- Proven leadership of small-to-medium engineering teams, ideally 5-50 people
- Experience hiring from scratch or building an early engineering team
- Startup or scale-up background, especially 0->1 or 1->10 product-building environments
- Strong AI / LLM fluency, preferably from shipped AI features, AI products, agentic systems, or production-adjacent implementations
- Customer-facing confidence: comfortable in demos, pre-sales, executive conversations, and technical negotiation
- High agency, urgency, and ownership: you move fast, stay pragmatic, and create clarity in ambiguous environments
- Excellent English and professional presence; Polish is strongly preferred for local client and market context
Who Tends To Fit
You do not need to have followed one perfect path. But the strongest profiles usually look like one of these:
- Ex-founder / CTO who built a real product and still has technical depth
- Founding Engineer or Tech Lead who grew into Head of Engineering / CTO responsibilities
- Startup Head of Engineering who hired and scaled a team from early stage
- Senior backend, full-stack, or infrastructure engineer who became a hands-on technical leader
- AI / ML product or platform leader who has shipped customer-facing systems, not only research
- Startup or scale-up engineering leader who can speak both to executives and engineers without sounding fake in either room
This Role Is Probably Not For You If
- your AI experience is shallow, outdated, mostly theoretical, or mostly advisory
- you have been detached from code or direct technical delivery for the last 5+ years
- your background is mostly corporate IT, CIO, infrastructure operations, support, or internal transformation
- you are a pure solution architect or pre-sales profile without delivery and team ownership
- you are strongest in process, governance, and management rituals, but not in hands-on execution
- you have not built products, teams, or customer-facing systems in a startup-like environment
- you want a narrow architect role without field execution, ambiguity, or direct accountability
Working Style
This is a high-trust, high-intensity role close to decision makers, important customers, and messy real-world constraints.
The pace is fast, the standards are high, and the expectation is that you can think independently while staying close to execution.
Interview Process
- Initial call with someone from the team
- Two role-specific technical / judgment interviews
- Interview with local market leadership
- Final interview with co-founder / CTO
(Sequence may vary slightly by scheduling, but these are the expected stages.)
