The Role
Own useful product features from the user problem to production: interface, backend, data, integrations and the debugging that keeps them dependable. You'll make technical decisions, implement the work yourself and see how it behaves in real operational workflows.
This is a demanding startup role for an engineer who enjoys moving quickly with substantial autonomy. You get broad product ownership, with responsibility for both delivery and the quality of what you ship.
About SalesPatriot
SalesPatriot is a US company building operational software for quoting, procurement and supply-chain workflows for distributors and OEMs. The engineering challenge is to turn complex business processes and connected systems into software people can rely on.
What You'll Own
- Take a user need through technical design, frontend and backend implementation, deployment and production follow-through.
- Make practical decisions about SQL data models, APIs, integrations and asynchronous work, including how failures are detected and handled.
- Diagnose issues across the stack, repair their causes and improve reliability as the product evolves.
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, then review, test and verify the resulting behavior yourself.
What You Bring
- Personal experience shipping and operating full-stack product work. Be ready to explain what you built, the choices you made and what happened in production.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js foundations, plus hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework. React or similar experience transfers to Svelte; prior Svelte is not required. Your current main backend stack can be different, provided you have hands-on TypeScript/Node.js experience and can apply your backend skills in this environment.
- Practical SQL and data reasoning, integration experience and the ability to debug beyond your own component.
- Independent technical judgment: clarify an ambiguous problem, choose a workable approach and take responsibility for the result.
- A practical AI-assisted coding workflow with code review and tests. Building production LLM systems is not a requirement.
- Fluent spoken English for daily conversations and technical discussions. SalesPatriot is a US company, and all company communication is in English.
We value concrete engineering ownership over a fixed number of years or a particular title. Relevant experience can come from product teams, business-system integrations or software you've built independently.
Intensity and How We Work
Startup intensity is high. Expect fast delivery, changing priorities and problems that aren't fully specified. You'll need to take initiative, resolve ambiguity and make decisions without waiting for a detailed task list.
Speed comes with personal accountability: review your code, test important behavior and follow through when something breaks in production. This role suits someone who wants demanding startup work, broad ownership and frequent technical decisions. If you prefer a predictable backlog and tightly bounded responsibilities, consider that trade-off before applying.
Working Arrangement
This is a B2B role in the Warsaw office seven days a week, with a flexible eight-hour working day that includes a call with the US team at around 20:30 local time. There is no compulsory co-living or relocation to San Francisco.
Compensation
Annual base compensation is USD 100,000-120,000, plus 0.01-0.02% equity. Detailed B2B terms, the equity instrument and vesting, travel expectations and start date remain to be agreed during the process.
Interview Process
Written Talent Flank qualification is followed by a client technical conversation. Be ready to discuss a feature or system you personally delivered, your technical trade-offs, production debugging and how you verify AI-assisted work.
