The Role
Lead engineering delivery in Warsaw while personally building product features and the technical foundations shared across customer needs. Work with Warsaw senior engineers and the product-oriented Director of Engineering in the US to turn product priorities into technical choices and working software.
You own both your implementation and delivery through engineers: architecture, clear commitments, coaching and the quality of what reaches production.
About SalesPatriot
SalesPatriot is a US company building operational software for quoting, procurement and supply-chain workflows for distributors and OEMs. The engineering challenge is to turn complex business processes and connected systems into software people can rely on.
What You'll Do
- Personally take product work through design, frontend and backend implementation, deployment and production debugging.
- Make practical architecture, SQL/data, integration and reliability decisions; build reusable foundations that help the team deliver across product and customer needs.
- Own Warsaw engineering delivery, clarify commitments and coach senior engineers through implementation and technical trade-offs.
- Work with US product leadership to resolve priorities and ambiguity, then follow through on delivery and production quality.
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, then review, test and verify the resulting behavior yourself.
What You Bring
- Recent personal engineering contributions alongside actual leadership of engineers or team delivery. Show what you implemented, the decisions you made, and the results.
- Full-stack or backend depth and the ability to implement in TypeScript and Node.js. A different main stack can transfer when concrete product, data and integration work supports it; be ready to explain that transfer and your recent code.
- Practical judgment about reusable foundations, production diagnosis, architecture, and delivery tradeoffs.
- A practical AI-assisted coding workflow with code review and tests.
- Fluent spoken English for daily conversations and technical discussions. SalesPatriot is a US company, and all company communication is in English.
Technical leads, builder-founders who delivered through engineers, and engineering managers with attributable implementation and product execution are welcome. A particular executive title, team size, or prior Svelte experience is not required. Production LLM ownership is not a requirement.
The role requires both implementation and leadership. A management-only or advisory-only role without implementation does not fit; individual contributors need evidence of leading engineering delivery.
Intensity and How We Work
Startup intensity is high. Expect fast delivery, changing priorities and problems that aren't fully specified. You'll need to take initiative, resolve ambiguity and make independent technical decisions while keeping the team focused on useful work.
Speed comes with ownership of delivery and production quality. Review and test your own changes, help engineers make sound trade-offs and follow through when something breaks. This role suits someone who wants demanding startup work with personal building and team responsibility.
Working Arrangement
This is a B2B role based in the Warsaw office seven days a week, with a flexible eight-hour working day that includes a call with the US team at around 20:30 local time. The exact daily schedule and split between office time and later calls from home remain to be agreed during the process.
There is no compulsory relocation to San Francisco or co-living arrangement, and no Polish-language or nationality requirement.
Compensation
Annual base compensation is USD 135,000-150,000, plus 0.02-0.05% equity. Detailed B2B terms, the equity instrument and vesting, travel expectations, start date and the precise office and later-call arrangement remain to be agreed during the process.
Interview Process
Written Talent Flank qualification is followed by a client technical conversation. Be ready to discuss your recent personal code, delivery through engineers, architecture decisions and how you verify AI-assisted work, alongside practical fit for Warsaw office days and US overlap.
